The barrel is formed from aluminum alloy rather than molded plastic, so it resists dents and sheds heat during longer runs. A 1w led throws usable light across 80 meters, and the ON-OFF switch keeps operation simple for anyone opening the box for the first time. Rated IP65, the housing stands up to rain and splashes around camp, on a boat, or on a job site. Working time runs about 5 hours per charge, with a 6V 100mA solar panels feeding the 4V 800mA battery.
