Product Detailed Description
A clear night and a curious crowd are all this refractor needs. Set it up on a rooftop, a school field, or a balcony, and the moon and brighter planets come into view for first-time observers without a steep learning curve.
Optics and build
Light gathers through the front lens and travels to the rear eyepiece, a layout that holds alignment and travels well. The 5 X 24 finderscope helps locate targets, while the metal tripod with slow motion control rod allows easy vertical micro adjustment for steadier viewing.
- Aperture: 3" (76mm)
- Focal length: 900mm, f/9
- Most height: 104cm
- Eyepieces: Standard 0.965"; SR4mm, H12.5mm, H20mm; 2X Barlow lens
Gifting and presentation
The tube finish and smooth focus feel suit holiday gifts, science-term promotions, and outreach kits, especially when paired with binoculars in a bundle. Foam inserts keep optics secure in transit.
Check eyepiece thread fit and tripod legs on a sample batch before reordering.
