External USB DVD Burner Drive

Product Detailed Description

An external disc drive is a flat rectangular box that sits beside a laptop and reads or writes optical media through a cabled connection. The body is moulded in ABS plastic, with a front-loading tray and a control button on the face. A short cable runs from the rear edge to the computer. Buyers in the trade channel stock it for users whose machines ship without an internal drive, and the slim footprint means it can live in a bag rather than on a desk.

• Flat ABS shell slides into a laptop sleeve beside the machine rather than taking a desk shelf
• Tray ejects on a front button so a disc drops in without turning the drive over
• Cable stows along the body, letting the whole unit travel in the same pocket as the computer
• Rubber feet under the corners hold the frame steady while the tray is pushed closed
• Black moulded casing hides handling marks picked up in a bag or on a counter
