Trade shows, festival fields and long hikes all drain a phone at the worst moment. A folding solar panel that rides on a bag or bicycle keeps a charge within reach, so a dead handset never ends the day.

Build and use

The panel delivers 3 Watts from a single solar cell and puts out 5V/500mA. It charges an iPhone directly W/O battery under sunshine, so no power bank sits between the sun and the handset. A clip lets the panel stand slantwise to absorb energy from sunshine efficiently, and the same fixing holds it on the bag and bicycle. The Watterproof surface shrugs off outdoor weather, and at About 110 Grams it adds little to a pack.
