Lacrosse Arm Guards
A lacrosse arm guard sits between a player's glove and elbow, the piece of protective gear that absorbs stick checks during clears, rides, and settled offense. Attackmen and midfielders wear them on both arms, while defenders often favor a longer cut that reaches higher toward the shoulder. The family covers distinct builds, from slim sleeves for quick release to segmented pads with hard plastic caps.
Construction usually pairs a foam or gel liner against the skin with an outer shell of molded plastic or dense padding. Elastic straps, hook-and-loop closures, or a sleeve cuff hold the guard in place through sprinting and dodging. Ventilation panels and moisture-wicking fabrics keep the arm cooler during summer tournaments, and adjustable straps let one size fit a range of players.
Wholesale buyers typically stock arm guards alongside lacrosse gloves, since the two are sold as a set to new players and replaced together as contact wear sets in. Distributors serving school programs and club teams order in size runs, while promotional suppliers pair guards with lacrosse balls as seasonal giveaways. Checking strap hardware, stitching at the elbow seam, and shell thickness helps separate durable stock from budget lines.
End users range from youth players learning the sport to adult league veterans replacing worn padding. Fit matters most: a guard that slides down the forearm or bunches at the elbow gets pulled off mid-game. Buyers should confirm sizing charts, left and right pairing, and whether the guard is machine washable. A lacrosse bag with a padded compartment keeps the gear from crushing under helmets and goals.
Display arm guards near gloves and helmets so shoppers see a complete protective set, and note sizing and closure type on shelf labels. Buyers comparing lines should weigh shell coverage, liner thickness, and strap adjustability, since those details drive repeat purchases. With lacrosse goals and bags in the same aisle, the category supports a full equipment basket for teams and families alike.
