Build and charging

The torch pairs a three-LED head rated at 15000 MCD with a Li-ion 3.6V 80mah cell, and the 5.5V 15ma design tops up from sunlight in around 22 hours under sun. A DC chager port also accepts a USB chager, so a wall outlet or laptop can refill it when daylight is scarce. At 137*45*15mm it slips into a pocket, a door pocket or a tool tray.
