On a windy ridge or a slow chairlift, the shell does most of the work. Nylon dobby with PU coating rated W/P3000 and MVP3000 turns away wet snow while letting built-up moisture escape, and every seam is taped to keep driven snow on the outside.
Two layers, one jacket
The outer shell carries a PES 21oT lining with mesh, a snowskirt inside to seal out powder, and a laser cut seamless pocket that sits flat against the body. The inner jacket uses Poly 210T fabric with soft padding, so riders can wear both on deep-cold days or the shell alone when the weather softens.
