A picnic table, a hotel room, a campsite at dusk: the cooler bag speaker earns its place by doing two jobs at once. The insulated body holds a six-pack of tins, while a built-in speaker system plays music from an iPod, mobile phone, MP3 player or CD player.

The outer shell is 600D polyester, a tough, closely woven fabric that shrugs off knocks in a bag or the back of a car. Twin drivers rated at 4ohms 2Wx2 run on 2 x AA batteries (not included), so there is no cable to hunt for. The special design gives it a novelty look that stands out on a shelf or a gift table.
