Pressed close to the glass, a spoken line turns a still photograph into something worth returning to: a talking portrait photo frame keeps the message with the picture. Press the button, speak, and the recording replays at a touch whenever the frame is picked up or passed around.

The rigid frame holds a printed portrait behind a clear window, with a compact module tucked into the backing to store the voice. An LED memory indicator shows recording progress so the speaker knows the message has been captured, and the message is retained even when the batteries are dead or removed. A hinged stand or hanging slot lets the frame sit on a bedside table, office desk or memorial shelf.

Two finishes are offered, and the design is covered by patent and copyright. Longer recording time can be arranged for programs that need more than a brief greeting.
