2.5 inch SATA+IDE to SATA+USB 2.0 Enclosure
A technician pulls a slim drive from a retired laptop, slips it into this housing, and hands the customer back a working external unit. The shell is magnesium and aluminum alloy, a combination chosen to move heat away from the disk and hold its shape through daily handling.
Inside, the JM 337 chip drives a USB 2.0 interface at high speed 480Mbp/s. The notebook hard disk transforms to USB2.0 or sata removes the hard disk by SATA or iIDE port, so one housing serves both generations of drive that arrive at the counter. No physical drive required, hot plug & play, and the whole disk encipher method supported round out the build.
Branding can be applied to the housing for distributors building a catalog line, with artwork and packing details agreed per order.
