An older PS/2 keyboard or mouse can keep earning its place at a workstation even when the machine it plugs into has moved on to USB ports. This adapter bridges the two, letting a PS/2 compatible keyboard and mouse work as a USB compatible device so daily typing carries on without a hardware swap.
Build and electronics
The adapter is compliant with USB HID specifications and draws its power from the USB bus, so no separate supply is needed. It is fully compliant with PS/2 keyboard and mouse operation and supports USB and PS2 plug-and-play. Standard Windows multimedia keys pass through, and the unit supports two PS2 keyboards or two PS2 mice on the 2p model.
System support
Offices refreshing a fleet, kiosk builders and retro computing enthusiasts all get a compact way to keep period input hardware in service. Units arrive in a plain polybag with a small card, and buyers can quote them alongside printer bridging leads for older equipment.
