Wi-Fi Detector

Product Detailed Description

A compact signal reader slides into a laptop bag before a long trip. On arrival it scans the surrounding airwaves and reports what it picks up, so a traveler can judge a hotel room or a new office desk before settling in.

The housing takes its cues from a car-key remote: a smooth plastic shell with a flat face that accepts a logo cleanly. Signal strength is shown on a small indicator chain as the user walks, and the pocket format keeps the tool close at hand without weighing down a carry-on.

Power comes from 2 x AG13 batteries at 3V, and the unit is described as completely hassle free in daily use. Detection spans 100 to 200m in open space and 25 to 50m indoors, with an operating range of 0 to 60 and a starage range of -20 to 75.
