USB 2.0 SATA External ODD Case

Product Detailed Description

This is an enclosure for a slim internal optical drive, the kind pulled from a laptop. Two ABS mouldings clip around the drive and close it into a flat black block with a slot at the front, so the tray still opens and closes by hand. It is carried to a desk, set down flat, and plugged in to read or write discs away from the machine the drive came out of. Buyers in the trade pair it with salvaged or surplus drives.

• Two-piece ABS shell clips together around the drive instead of a folded metal frame, so the tray face lines up with the front slot
• Black moulded body hides handling marks from bench and counter use, keeping the unit presentable on a reseller shelf
• Open front slot leaves the drive tray free to slide out, so you press the eject tab and the disc goes in as normal
• Flat underside sits stable on a desk while the drive runs, letting you load and swap discs without steadying the case by hand
