A narrow band of protection across a doorway or window is often all a room needs, and a curtain passive infrared detector delivers exactly that. The segmented lens shapes the field into a vertical sheet, so a warm body crossing the opening triggers the circuit while pets and drafts stay outside the pattern. Nothing transmits at the threshold and nothing makes contact with anyone passing through.
The housing mounts on the wall or ceiling at roughly head height, and the cover lifts off without tools for service. A normally closed alarm output and a normally closed anti tamper switch keep the wiring logic simple for installers working with two wire or four wire panels.
